What I would like to study after finishing my degree

As I mentioned in my previous blog, I am studying Social Work because I like to serve people, however, what I would like to study later has a more selfish purpose. At the end of my degree, I would like to study dressmaking, because the style of clothing that I like the most is from the 50s and it is difficult to find clothes that satisfy my expectations and fit my body.

Since school I love to dress up, in every school activity in which I could dress up I took advantage of the opportunity to do it and I usually make my own costumes by hand, that is why I have been interested in making clothes, I have already dabbled in making dresses from molds and modifying dresses that I have bought to make them look like 50's style.

Now I am in a transition between modern clothing and vintage clothing, there are days when it is difficult to put together a vintage outfit and I must give in to the weather and the rush and end up wearing my "normal" clothes. For the same reason I would like to be able to create my own wardrobe with the style that I like, so even the clothes to wear at home could look vintage and it would not seem that I am “dressed up” every time I want to dress vintage.

That is why I would like to study tailoring in Chile to have the base of knowledge and manual practice to be able to carry out my ideas, however I would also like to travel to London and Germany to be inspired, although the ideal would be to be able to travel back in time.
